The research addresses the need to replace manual testing with an automated system that reduces the margin of error and optimizes resources. This work facilitates the implementation of international standards in lighting laboratories, thus improving product quality and safety. In addition, it enables the automatic detection of cracks after impact through the use of digital cameras, reducing costs and increasing the reliability of the results. The overall objective is to design and verify an automated prototype for IK testing of luminaires through an experimental study conducted in test laboratories. The results are expected to confirm its effectiveness and provide valuable data for future implementations. The prototype, based on IEC 62262 standard, demonstrated its effectiveness by integrating an image analysis system in MATLAB, enabling real-time damage identification and ensuring consistency with international standards.
