Ítem Acceso Abierto Incidencia del gobierno de ti en la gestión estratégica de los gads municipales de Cañar, Tambo y Suscal(Universidad Catolica de Cuenca extension Cañar, 2022-07-17) Chimborazo Morocho, Tamia Sisa; Flores Urgiles, Cristina Mariuxi; 030184067-4ABSTRACT This article shows a study carried out in the municipal Gads (by its acronym in Spanish) of Cañar, El Tambo, and Suscal cantons to determine the IT governance impact on strategic management by applying the COBIT 2019 framework as a tool. The objectives of this study were: a) Conduct a theoretical study on IT governance/management and COBIT 2019, b) Determine the current status of the governance/management objectives in the municipal governments, c) Establish the IT governance system impact. An assessment instrument was designed taking the COBIT 2019 governance system design workbook as a reference. It allows determining the relative importance of governance and management objectives indicating the influence of a given COBIT design factor compared to the baseline situation of municipalities. The instrument was applied to the IT managers of each municipality obtaining quantitative and qualitative results which allowed the interpretation of the current governance objectives situation about business goals, IT-related objectives, and problems as well as risks profile. Finally, the management and governance objectives have been selected to be implemented according to the degree of importance as a help to generate a significant impact which enables the administrative management of IT resources and services.
