Ítem Solo Metadatos Actualización de tratamiento farmacológico de enfermedad renal en pacientes diabéticos(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Chiluisa Castillo, Wendy Aracely; Bueno Castro, Andrés Santiago; 0106721012Background: it is mentioned in the international diabetes federation that approximately 537 million adults from 20 to 79 years of age suffer from diabetes mellitus in the year 2021, it is estimated that this number will increase to 780 million by the year 2045. In addition, it is mentioned that 90% and 95% of all these patients have type 2 diabetes mellitus, adding to this it is observed that half of this population develop diabetic kidney disease or diabetic nephropathy. Objective: to detail the updated treatment of diabetic nephropathy. Methodology: a narrative-type bibliographic review will be carried out, which will include scientific articles on biological therapy and modulators of the immune system in LA Update on pharmacological treatment of kidney disease in diabetic patients, collected from different databases such as PUBMED, Medline, Scielo and Elseiver, Scopus, through identification-screening-eligibility-selection and based on the quality rank of Scimago Journal Rank. Expected results: through an exhaustive search of scientific documents, it is intended to condense information with clinical relevance on the update of pharmacological treatment of kidney disease in diabetic patients.
