Ítem Acceso Abierto Hipertensión arterial, un reto farmacológico(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Chalco Moscoso, Marco Antonio; Zhingre Suárez, Alicia Esperanza; 0107364424In the following review work, the main associated drugs that the treating physician has available for correct management will be addressed according to the severity of the symptoms of the patient evaluated by SCORE of cardiovascular risk, and concomitant pathologies such as cardiovascular disease and type diabetes mellitus. 2 with its own risk factors in dyslipidemias and diseases of overweight and obesity, important information is delimited on the non- pharmacological treatment that is available through nutritional habits, exercise and lifestyle, in addition, the cessation of tobacco consumption as a factor important for reducing cardiovascular risk as well as mortality and complications of hypertension. The objective of this research is to compile an update of data on AHT in terms of diagnosis and treatment. The methodology used is a collection of data from various updated sources on the treatment of Primary Arterial Hypertension, the latest data from the guidelines published in 2017 and 2018 by the American Association of Cardiology and the European School of Cardiology and Hygiene, which are compiled to form this tailored treatment guidance document based on data from both criteria. In conclusion, arterial hypertension is a pathology of great importance, however, it is little recognized because it is silent and precedes risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.
