Ítem Acceso Abierto Efectividad del método de Graf para el diagnóstico temprano de la displasia del desarrollo de cadera. Revisión Sistemática(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Calderon Carrion, Mayra Alejandra; Gordillo Saltos, Paula Janneth; Flores Flores, Pedro Martín; 0106974777; 0107253056The present study focuses on investigating the efficacy of the Graf method in the early diagnosis of Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH), with a specific emphasis on the importance of early diagnosis and its benefits. The study aims to prove that the Graf method can accurately diagnose DDH in newborns with acetabular deformity, as well as in 4–6-week-old children, helping to prevent the condition through early detection. Methodology: This systematic analysis used a PRISMA-type methodology to search for relevant literature in Pubmed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases. The study focused on MeSH terms related to "Developmental Dysplasia of the hip" and "Diagnostic Imaging." Nine articles were ultimately included in the review, having been screened by title and abstract before being read in full. Results: The results of the study showed that the Graf method is relevant to diagnose DDH in neonates, infants, and young children. By using this method to diagnose DDH at a younger age, it is more likely that children will receive more accurate and successful treatments. Conclusions: this study has highlighted the effectiveness of the Graf method in the early diagnosis of DDH. It is possible to screen newborns, infants, and young children with this method, which can help with treatment selection, classification, and follow-up.
