Ítem Solo Metadatos Bases fisiológicas de la regeneración ósea, proceso de remodelado. Revisión de la literatura.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Cabrera Jaramillo, Pablo Andres; Calle Jara, Felipe Rafael; 1400652150Bone remodeling is carried out throughout life, its balance of success could be given up to the third decade, from then until reaching 50 years, small alterations originate, after this, resorption and bone mass begin to decrease(1). The bibliography used for this work has been obtained after conducting a bibliographic search, using the terms bone regeneration and tissue growth factors, tissue healing, bone remodeling. The objective of the study is to obtain a review of the literature on the physiological bases of bone regeneration and on the advances of the techniques with the highest success rate of bone remodeling prior to an implant. In some cases, the body's innate self-healing abilities cannot keep up with the demands for regeneration. An example of this is bone defects of critical size, which are often the result of orthopedic or oral maxillofacial surgeries following trauma or tumor removal, as well as infections. Currently, there are a large number of bone substitutes, as well as several techniques to improve the bone regeneration process such as: growth factors, osteoprogenitor cells and distraction osteogenesis.
