The symptoms are specific, highlighting lumbar pain associated with other signs and symptoms. The performance of complementary imaging tests is important for its treatment. Objective: To describe the risk factors associated with renal lithiasis. Methodology: A bibliographic review of articles and scientific documents was conducted. Used of the results: The results obtained will be used as a source of sustainable information for subsequent use as a basis for research work. Development: A review of approximately 70 scientific articles in different languages related to risk factors associated with renal lithiasis was performed of wich 25 were used since they met the established parameters. Conclusions: Urolithiasis is considered a urological pathology that has been present in mankind since ancient times leading individuls suffering from it to a painful death due to its complications. However, thanks to the evolition of medicine, it has been possible to identify that this discase depends on different factors such as genetic, geographical, metabolic, anatomical, socioeconomic, diaetary and even climatic. lts identification is important to avoid irreversible renal damage.
