Health professionals are closely linked to ethical principles: patient autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice are fundamental in medicine. Empathetic and effective patient-physician communication is crucial to establishing a solid relationship. Additionally, it helps to make informed and collaborative decisions, ensuring high-quality medical care and respect for patients' rights. Literature Review: Medical ethics and the clinical relationship are constantly evolving, facing challenges and opportunities to improve health care. Respect for ethical principles is fundamental and adaptation to patient-centered models is crucial to ensure fair and effective medical practice in the country.Continuous training, improved regulation, and the active participation of all stakeholders in the health system are essential to facing current and future challenges. Conclusion: In Ecuador, it is important to strengthen medical ethics and the clinical relationship within the social context to provide a high-quality healthcare.
