One of these technologies is called Artificial Intelligence (AI) which is capable of creating content such as images, videos, audio, text, etc. from scratch. Artificial intelligence is an ally of humanity, however, it is disturbing to think that in Ecuadorian criminal law, there is no adequate regulation of this technology to prevent possible criminal offenses, which can be performed. This is why this article demonstrates that artificial intelligence can become an agent of chaos to harm society if it is not properly regulated. For writing this scientific article, a deductive and inductive methodology was applied, with a qualitative approach, which allows a detailed analysis and description of the results at studying the phenomenon.
