The issue of job performance and motivation has been a key element for many years now. In addition, they are related to the organizational area because they measure the productivity of an organization. The objective of this research is to measure such motivation and performance levels. Therefore, its methodology has a qualitative focus with a descriptive and field reach. The population of the study includes a total of 35 teachers and 15 administrators who work at the Catholic University of Cuenca, Cañar campus. The data were collected through a survey that contains 27 questions about what workers think about their jobs and labor activities, these are assessed through a Likert scale. In conclusion, there exists a commitment from the workers towards the university, because it has recognized and rewarded the role of each worker in accordance to their labor profile, nevertheless, related to the organization of work as such reflects certain doubts regarding the workload and hours of workers, which are evidenced in their statements regarding work overtime and weekends.
