Emprendimiento e innovación en época de pandemia en la ciudad de Cañar

COVID - 19 pandemic has had a significant effect on the world economy. It has produced great job losses affecting families' financial stability. For this reason, some citizens affected by this problem have created businesses in Cañar to meet their needs and those of the community. This investigation aims to identify enterprises that have been able to adapt themselves in times of crisis by means of innovation. The research is quantitative, descriptive, and analytical. A survey applied to people who have enterprises in the last year in the city showed that 91.7% of them are new, and mostly, it is the first enterprise for these individuals. An important aspect is that they do not have a previous plan for their business, generating instability for the enterprises that will not last in time and will have a rapid decline in the market.
