Ítem Acceso Abierto Violencia y discriminación en la población venezolana en situación de movilidad humana forzada radicada en el cantón Cuenca(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Arias Crespo, Lisseth Paola; Salazar Molina, María Belén; Fernandez Aucapiña, Nancy Yolanda; 0150394773; 0150127249Forced human mobility is a worldwide social phenomenon, the need for migration of the Venezuelan population has a political, economic, cultural, and social background generating a migratory crisis affecting mainly Latin American regions, Ecuador among them. Consequently, the country is undergoing an economic crisis causing a deficiency in the provision of services focused on covering basic needs, regardless of their migratory status. On the other hand, the lack of possibilities for the overall development of a good life has been one of the potential consequences for the displacement of the Venezuelan population, whose effects are visible in today's society. This study analyzes the context of the Venezuelan population in a situation of forced human mobility in the city of Cuenca and its relationship with the indicators of vulnerability, violence, and discrimination. A quantitative approach as a methodology was used based on the survey applied to 75 Venezuelan citizens in different institutions of the city of Cuenca, to be utilized in a statistical analysis of Chi-Square, allowing to obtain data directly to be analyzed and interpreted with scientific rigor. The results showed that the population in human mobility does not suffer from discrimination and violence regardless of their migration status.
