Estimación de la edad dental mediante el método de Demirjian en la Carrera de Odontología de la Universidad Católica de Cuenca

Objective: To estimate dental age using the Demirjian method in the Dentistry career at the Catholic University of Cuenca. Materials and methods: 320 panoramic radiographs taken in the period September 2016 September 2017 were evaluated. The date of the radiographic capture and the date of birth were recorded in the data collection form in order to obtain the chronological age obtained in years. Months and days, then a latter and a value were asigned for each analyzed tooth, tooth, obtaining dental age in this way. Taking these two data, we proceeded to make a comparison of chronological age with dental age using the Wilcoxon test and test T. Results According to the sample of this study, dental age was slightly higher in girls than boys, in boys group 0,98 and in boys 0.82.
