Diseño y desarrollo de un entorno VR para la demostración de experimentos de laboratorio de física

The present work proposes the creation of a virtual physics laboratory, which includes two experiments based on the content of the Mechanical subject of the Software major. The application runs on a personal computer and can be viewed in two ways: through the computer screen or the Oculus virtual reality device. The first step was to review the technological tools available to develop the application. The engine chosen for implementing the virtual physics laboratory was Unity 3D from the company Unity Technologies. Scripts were developed in C# language, using Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environment to code the behavior of the objects subject to the physical laws of nature. Two experiments were implemented: free fall and collisions; however, the initial structure is left to develop other virtual practices such as motion in an inclined plane, projectile launching, and energy conservation, among others.
