Ítem Acceso Abierto Capacidad y percepción de autocuidado de personas geríatricas en el club del adulto mayor del centro de salud Turi, Azuay 2019(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2020) Tenesaca Martínez, Juan Pablo; Romero Galabay, Ignacia Margarita; 0105162143; ., .Aging is the stage where the person experiences several changes in the biological, social, psychological and environmental field Objective: Describe the capacity and perception of self-care of geriatric people in the senior club of the Turi Health Center, Azuay 2019. Methodology: Quantitative study of a non-experimental cross-sectional descriptive type, so an analytical method was applied because the characteristics of the study variables were studied, so a census sample was used because the sample size is equal to the total number of the population. The processing and analysis of the data was carried out through the statistical program SPSS version 25. Results: 65.7% of the respondents are in the old age range, with 91.4% the female gender prevailed, in relation to the socioeconomic level 81.4% presented a low economy, the marital status with a 37, 1% are married, of the level of education 62.9% did not present studies. In the analysis of the CYPAC - AM test in most categories, the elderly presented independence to perform daily activities and in relation to the degree of significance the gender had a ratio of p 0.01.Conclusion: The majority of older adults reported feeling supposedly healthy and gender was the only variable in having a relationship with self-care.
