Ítem Acceso Abierto Estimulacíon ovárica en ovejas con la aplicación de FSH-p epidural en la producción in vitro de embriones(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Pacheco Pacheco, Carlos Julio; Alvarado Alvarado, Juan Carlos; 0104287040This research aimed to assess the effects of ovarian stimulation for oocyte recovery using the Ovum Pick-Up (OPU) follicular aspiration technique with epidural administration of FSH-p compared to the combination of FSH-p and eCG administered intramuscularly in vitro embryo production. These three treatments were used: T1: 100mg of FSH-p epidurally divided into two doses (7:00 am-6:00 pm), combined with 300IU of eCG intramuscularly (IM). T2: 100mg of FSH-p (IM) divided into two doses (7:00 am-6:00 pm) plus 300IU of eCG (IM). T3: 300IU of eCG intramuscularly. The variables measured were: Cumulus cell expansion, maturation percentage, fertilization percentage, and embryo production. Oocyte recovery results were T1: 33, T2: 38, and T3: 20 (p: 0.209). Oocyte classification by grade established the highest percentage in T1: 25.8%, T2: 19.3%, and T3: 13.7% (p: 0.323), all in grade I. Expansion (scale 1-4) was similar between T1 and T2 with 3.25 (p: 0.667). Maturation averages were T1 at 47.92%, T2 at 66.07%, and T3 at 70.01% (p: 0.615). The cleavage measurement results showed the following percentages T1: 50%, T2: 22%, and T3: 66.7%. In in vitro embryo production, T1 and T2 reached the morula stage. As a result, there were no differences between treatments, so testing different protocols and routes of FSH-p administration in further research is recommended.
