Ítem Acceso Abierto Hipomineralización incisivo - molar en pacientes pedriátricos(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Torres Yanza, Katherine Irene; Abad Freire, Viviana Daniela; 0104596218; ., .OBJECTIVE: The objective of this work was to carry out an in-depth investigation of available data about Molar Incisor Hypomineralization in pediatric patients, in order to provide valuable information for its identification and treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The research was a qualitative-quantitative, descriptive and exploratory documentary deepening. A systematic and organized review was configured with a search strategy whose inclusion criteria were: Selection of scientific articles, clinical cases, experimental and non-experimental studies, as well as review articles published between 2015 and 2021 in both Spanish and English. that complied with the research variables, of which 52 articles were selected. RESULTS: Among the most relevant findings, the approach to risk factors associated with MIH in 32% of the articles reviewed and the treatment applied to MIH (24%) stand out, among which the following stand out: the Hall technique, crowns (of chrome-steel, zirconia or stainless steel) and fluid giomers. The average age of the children who participated in the reviewed studies was 9 years old and the average prevalence of MIH in the reviewed studies was 12.89%. CONCLUSION: The predisposing factors of this disease are associated with different causes among the most common respiratory problems, asthma, bronchitis, tonsillitis, pneumonia that occur at different stages of pregnancy. Treatments to treat MIH cases vary according to the characteristics of each patient.
