Ítem Acceso Abierto Endocoronas: una alternativa conservadora para rehabilitar premolares y molares con tratamiento endodóntico. Revisión de la literatura(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Jiménez Alemán, Marcela Verónica; Romero Andrade, John Patricio; Urgiles Urgiles, Cristián Danilo; 0104590468; 0302835210; ., .An Endocrown or Endocrown is a restoration at the coronal level, this can be total or partial of a tooth that has been previously treated with an endodontic treatment, this restoration is anchored to the pulp chamber, covers the occlusal surface and adheres to the dental structure by means of adhesive systems. The technique is simple, does not require excessive carving and preserves the greatest amount of dental remnants according to current minimally invasive dentistry, the walls must be carved expulsively forming a box, covering the cusps and supragingival margins of 1-2 mm, as they remain margins outside the restoration, cleaning is facilitated and the integrity of the periodontal tissues is guaranteed, coronal anchorage increases the amount of adhesion surface giving excellent results, clinical steps are reduced and it offers the same or in some cases greater resistance and hardness than when a full crown is placed. The materials used are Zirconia, Feldspathic Ceramics, Lithium Disilicate, Nanoceramic Resin blocks or only Composite Resins that meet the optimal mechanical properties and have a modulus of elasticity similar to dentin. Endocrowns have excellent resistance to compression and to the forces exerted during chewing and during occlusion, and good aesthetic results. The success of the restoration with Endocrowns depends on the clinician and his knowledge about adhesive and cementation techniques.
