The main purpose of this titling work is to identify the technical criteria for the hydraulic sizing of Capture Works and Flow Measurement for Irrigation, compiling the information presented by various authors, in order to apply it to the most representative flows of the Drainage Systems. Irrigation of the Province of Cañar. The Capture Works are of vital importance in a use for Irrigation, since they represent the starting point and it depends on the capture of the necessary flow that efficiently supplies the plots. As far as Flow Measurement Works are concerned, their importance lies in the fact that they allow optimal control of the distribution of water in irrigation systems. The main problems with the existing irrigation systems in the Province are the terrible state of the vast majority of Collection Works and the absence of Flow Measurement Works. For this reason, this titling work aims to promote the application of technical bases in the design, in order that the hydraulic works are well conceived and the irrigation systems have an efficient operation. It is worth mentioning that the hydraulic design of the aforementioned Works is complemented by the development of Excel sheets that allow to streamline and expedite the calculations
