In this scenario, the objective of the research was to analyze ethics as a transversal axis in the university formation of Social Work in Ecuador. The methodology used was based on the descriptive and inductive methods, its approach was qualitative with a transversal time cut, the techniques used were the semi-structured interview directed to a sample of directors/managers of the Social Work careers, and the qualitative content analysis technique studied the study plans of the universe of Higher Education Institutions that have the Social Work career in Ecuador. The results highlight the importance of ethics as a fundamental pillar in the formation of Social Work, to create professionals committed to social change and progress, as well as its consequent influence on professional praxis. In conclusion, in Ecuador, the formation of Social Work regarding ethics reveals a contradictory deficiency with the professional profile, due to the scarce and even null presence of subjects related to ethics, recommending the implementation of this as a transversal axis policy.

To address this study, the objective was to analyze the impact of social inequality and segregation in the living conditions of the students of the career in the face of the pandemic. Within the methodology, an exploratory, descriptive, and correlational level were applied, with a non-experimental quantitative approach of transversal cross-section, the techniques utilized were the survey and the documentary analysis; likewise, the methods were analytical-synthetic and deductive. The results showed that during the pandemic, the sector of residence had an impact on the work environment, since many people were dismissed from their workplaces and in other cases their working day was reduced, affecting the economy and income of the individual and therefore the family nucleus. Far this reason, social inequality and segregation were determining factors in the living conditions of the students of the Social Work Career.

This research work aims “to determine the perception of elders about their families and its incidence in life quality in the Canton Sevilla de Oro”. The research has a qualitative approach which gets objective data to counter the stated hypothesis, likewise, it was used the deductive method which allows drawing from a feature such as the aging theory toward particular cases, it is a transversal research, therefore, it was developed in a certain time and space, the study population were 31 elderlies from the Canton Sevilla de Oro. Through the A Ch-squared test the hypothesis was proved: the perception of the elderly about how the family relationship affects on their quality of life. In conclusion, the majority of elderly perceive between satisfactory and highly satisfactory the family relationship, similarly, the most of the elderly stated that they have never felt abandoned by their families and more than half of them said that they feel loved by their families.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoViolencia y discriminación en la población venezolana en situación de movilidad humana forzada radicada en el cantón Cuenca(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Arias Crespo, Lisseth Paola; Salazar Molina, María Belén; Fernandez Aucapiña, Nancy Yolanda; 0150394773; 0150127249Forced human mobility is a worldwide social phenomenon, the need for migration of the Venezuelan population has a political, economic, cultural, and social background generating a migratory crisis affecting mainly Latin American regions, Ecuador among them. Consequently, the country is undergoing an economic crisis causing a deficiency in the provision of services focused on covering basic needs, regardless of their migratory status. On the other hand, the lack of possibilities for the overall development of a good life has been one of the potential consequences for the displacement of the Venezuelan population, whose effects are visible in today's society. This study analyzes the context of the Venezuelan population in a situation of forced human mobility in the city of Cuenca and its relationship with the indicators of vulnerability, violence, and discrimination. A quantitative approach as a methodology was used based on the survey applied to 75 Venezuelan citizens in different institutions of the city of Cuenca, to be utilized in a statistical analysis of Chi-Square, allowing to obtain data directly to be analyzed and interpreted with scientific rigor. The results showed that the population in human mobility does not suffer from discrimination and violence regardless of their migration status.
