This study addresses the insufficient infrastructure for a Reception Centre in Azogues, where vulnerable children and adolescents lack spaces to support their well-being and integral development. The project is justified by the urgent need to improve living conditions for this population, ensuring functional, comfortable, and safe spaces that comply with national and international standards. Its significance lies in its social and architectural impact, offering a design model that can be replicated in future constructions. This research aims to develop a preliminary architectural project for a Reception Centre in Azogues, optimizing functionality, comfort, and aesthetics to meet the needs of both users and administrative staff. The investigation included regulatory analysis, case studies, and site evaluation, allowing for the definition of design strategies based on orientation, sunlight exposure, and privacy. As a result, a design consisting of three functional blocks—administrative, recreational, and rest areas—is proposed, ensuring a safe and suitable environment for the comprehensive development of children and adolescents.
