The study is justified by the increasing demand for affordable housing and the need for efficient, sustainable, and fast-execution construction systems. Its importance lies in offering an innovative alternative that optimizes modular design to improve quality of life, reduce environmental impact, and enhance comfort. The general objective is to assess the feasibility of CLT in the construction of adaptable social housing. The study follows a descriptive and experimental approach, through a study of reference multi-family housing projects, and the analysis of surveys and comparative studies conducted with local people, using non-probabilistic sampling. The results show that CLT offers advantages in structural efficiency, sustainability, and spatial flexibility, allowing for accessible and adaptable housing models. The research concludes with the proposal of an adaptable multi-family social housing building, representing an innovative contribution to the construction sector in Ecuador, with positive impacts in the economic, social, and environmental fields.
