Currently, it is known to affect 50% of the global population, with a higher rate of women as a vulnerable group. Objective: To determine the prevalence and risk factors associated with urinary incontinence by applying the International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire Short-Form Test in women over 45 attending consultation at the José Félix Hospital of Santa Isabel in 2023. Methodology: An analytical and cross-sectional study was conducted on 138 women over 45 who attended a consultation at the José Félix Valdivieso Hospital and met the abovementioned inclusion criteria. The International Consultation On Incontinence Questionnaire short-form was employed to determine the presence of urinary incontinence, and for sociodemographic variables, a questionnaire was provided by the authors. The information was processed in SPSS relative to statistical analysis; frequency charts were developed with a 95% confidence interval. Expected results: The information collected will determine the prevalence in women over 45, and the risk factors associated with this pathology will be determined.
