Ítem Acceso Abierto Tipos de apego y relaciones interpersonales en adultos tempranos.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2025) Barrera Barrera, Brigith Salome; Torres Moscoso, Amanda De Los Angeles; 0105895346Attachment styles in early adulthood play a crucial role in forming and maintaining interpersonal relationships. This literature-based thesis analyzes the influence of attachment on social, romantic, and work-related relationships between the ages of 18 and 25. Although this stage is characterized by the pursuit of independence and meaningful connections, the importance of attachment styles is often underestimated. Recognizing attachment patterns improves the emotional and social well- being of young adults, providing tools to face challenges in their relationships. This study aims to determine the influence of attachment types on the interpersonal relationships of young adults. A descriptive literature review was conducted based on the qualitative analysis of articles published between 2019 and 2024. The search was carried out by reviewing databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and SciELO, selecting studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Due to the historical basis of attachment theories, articles outside this time range will also be included. The findings show that adults with secure attachments tend to establish healthier relationships, while insecure styles negatively affect emotional management and stability in their bonds. In conclusion, attachment styles are determinants in developing interpersonal relationships during early adulthood and promoting secure attachment can improve relational dynamics.
