Ítem Acceso Abierto Factores Biopsicosociales y su relación con el orgasmo femenino: Una revisión sistemática.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2025) Cedeño Freire, Camila Pauleth; Flores Bonilla, Damaris Analía; Mazón Ávila, Juan Pablo; 0150447464; 1050309077This study analyzes the influence of biopsychosocial factors on the frequency and intensity of female orgasm in sexually active adult women. The methodology followed PRISMA guidelines through a search in Scopus and PubMed to select 20 cross-sectional studies published between 2014 and 2024 in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. The selection was conducted using the Rayyan platform, and methodological quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI). Subsequently, the risk of bias was assessed and documented using the ROBVIS pro forma. The results revealed that anxiety, depression, self-esteem, partner communication, cultural norms, and sexual taboos can significantly affect a woman's experience of orgasm. Biological factors such as menopause and genital self-image also play a role, although their impact is less significant compared to psychological and social factors. Finally, mental health and social conditions play a determining role in the experience of the female orgasm. Therefore, the importance of sex education and the elimination of stigma is emphasized to improve women's sexual satisfaction and overall well-being.
