The objective of this study is to identify the family factors that affect the consumption of alcohol and narcotic substances in adolescents from CETAD Amor y Vida, categorizing them into a range of prevalence where the main factors that originate can be glimpsed. The research used a non-experimental approach supported by quantitative and statistical methods, several techniques were used, such as documentary research; the bibliographic technique, which allowed the use of digital databases; and, finally, the field technique, which involved the application of previously designed surveys with twenty-two items that made it possible to collect quantitative data; A cross-sectional study was established, during the period March - May 2023. The results revealed that the majority of the population of the Amor y Vida Addiction Center consume due to constant social pressure, being the main factor of their addiction, represented by 45%. It is concluded that the most prevalent factors in patients admitted to the Rehabilitation Center were social pressure, family abandonment due to migration, and generational consumption.

The objective of this research was to determine “the factors affecting the students of the third year of high school in the schools “Particular Católica de Cuenca”, “Fe y Alegría”, and Amadeo Maldonado Vásquez of the province of Azuay” to the Higher Education system and their accessibility to it. The execution of this study was through surveys addressed to students of the aforementioned schools, as well as were conducted structured interviews with professionals and/or to the authorities of the educational institutions. The research was embraced from a hermeneutic paradigm with a criticalsocial approach, that is to say, a documental analysis of scientific articles was performed according to the subject matter and national regulations that guarantee the student’s education from high school to Higher Education. A population of 177 students of the third year of high school from the three abovementioned educationals establishments was taken as a sample study for this research; it was possible to prove through the obtained results that the main predictable factor affecting the students’ accessibility to the Higher Education System is family economy, nevertheless, it was also evidenced that exist equally relevant percentages to family support, misinformation in processes related to Higher Education, and lack of vocational guidance within the institutions.
