ABSTRACT
In the city of Esmeraldas, as in many places in Ecuador, sports have been ignored due to thelack of interest from the government in charge. In this context, the WHO definition of health hasbeen cited, which is the complete state of biopsychosocial well-being of an individual. In addition,it has been identified that this state of health can be achieved through recreational spaces thatpromote sports where the population can transform their leisure time into physical activity andpromote healthy habits. This preliminary project has been proposed as a possible solution to thearchitectural needs of the Folke Anderson stadium; the surroundings will be the element thatprotects the building from external factors and enhances the living conditions of its residents,improving the infrastructure and correcting the technological and aesthetic defects of the stadium,giving a better image of the province and providing optimal spaces for community recreation. Thispreliminary project has been approached through a descriptive literature review for the search ofreferences, original scientific articles, theses, and specialized data sources such as Scopus, Webof Science, and Research4Life were considered. Surveys have identified the urgency ofimproving the sports infrastructure in Esmeraldas; these findings support the recommendation toprioritize investment in sports facilities and recreation programs in the region, thereby providingspaces according to the population with essential improvements, that enhance this province'sname with a first-world architecture.

En la ciudad de Esmeraldas como en muchos lugares del Ecuador, las actividades deportivas se han relegado por el desinterés de los gobiernos de turno, En este contexto hemos citado la definición de salud de la OMS, que es el estado completo de bienestar biopsicosocial del individuo. Y se ha logrado identificar que se puede llegar a esta salud a través de la repotenciación de espacios recreativos, que fomenten las prácticas deportivas, donde la población, convierta su tiempo de ocio en actividad física y así fomentar hábitos saludables. Se ha propuesto este anteproyecto como una posible solución a las necesidades arquitectónicas, de readecuación, para el estadio Folke Anderson, la envolvente será el elemento que recubra al edificio para protegerlo de factores externos y mejorar sus condiciones de habitabilidad, para sus ocupantes, mejorando la infraestructura, y corrigiendo las deficiencias tecnológicas, y estéticas del estadio, dando una mejor imagen de la provincia brindando espacios óptimos para la recreación de la colectividad. Se ha planteado este anteproyecto mediante revisión bibliográfica de tipo descriptiva, para la búsqueda de referencias se tomó en cuenta artículos científicos originales, tesis, repositorio de datos especializadas como Scopus, Web ofscience, Research4life. Se ha logrado identificar mediante encuestas, la necesidad urgente de mejorar la infraestructura deportiva en Esmeraldas y estos hallazgos respaldan la recomendación de priorizar la inversión en infraestructura deportiva y programas de recreación en la región con ello brindar espacios acordes a nuestra población con mejoras indispensables y que nuestra provincia realce más su nombre con arquitectura de primer mundo.
