- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoDesarrollo de web mapping consumible para la red de investigación y observatorios Universidad Católica de Cuenca(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Lozada Castro, Gustavo Alexánder; Álvarez Llamoza, Orlando; 0107180341; OrlandoThe Research and Observatory Network of the Catholic University of Cuenca (RIOUC, by its Spanish acronym) is dedicated to research in order to systematically collect, organize, process, and evaluate information on various study phenomena. Optimal management of this information is impeded by the lack of a comprehensive platform to maximize the resources stored in its databases. A web system with Web Mapping functionalities that simplify access and efficient data visualization is proposed to address this challenge. This project aims to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the research and analysis processes carried out at the university level. Implementing Web Mapping tools will enable detailed visualization of observatory projects, providing a geospatial perspective to facilitate informed decision-making. The initiative focuses on solving the current challenge and also foresees substantial improvements in implementing scientific and academic projects through more effective information management.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoModelo de transmisión del rumor basado en agentes: simulación basada en redes complejas en un entorno físico definido.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Moscoso Matailo, Juan Bernardo; Álvarez Llamoza, Orlando; 0106820426This project was conducted to model and analyze the Behavior of Rumor in an educational institution based on the Catholic University of Cuenca (UCACUE by its Spanish acronym). It was achieved by designing an agent-based simulation model using the NetLogo tool. The model represents a simplified version of a real environment and its complex networks. In addition, it simulates the transmission of rumors over time based on the interaction among the agents, permitting the assessment of various scenarios through the model's configurable options. Different simulations concluded that in rumor transmission, most occur during the initial stages of propagation. Furthermore, it was observed that the propagation varies depending on the type of agent that initiates the rumor and the influence it has. Finally, two mitigation strategies based on the prevention and weakening of the influence of the rumor are proposed according to results from test simulations.
