Objetivo: Determinar la eficacia de la quimioterapia intraperitoneal hipertérmica en el cáncer de ovario en mujeres adultas. Metodología: Revisión sistemática de estudios primarios publicados en Scopus PubMed y Web of Science desde el año 2013 hasta el 2023, en idioma español e inglés. Resultados: Se obtuvieron un total de 133 393 artículos, 108 fueron seleccionados luego de la primera lectura, posteriormente considerando los criterios de inclusión y exclusión fueron utilizados 9 estudios para la presente revisión. Se describen las categorías quimioterapia intraperitoneal hipertérmica, Cirugía Citoreductora, Supervivencia, Cáncer de Ovario endotelial. Conclusión: Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación respaldan la eficacia del HIPEC como enfoque terapéutico prometedor en el cáncer de ovario, demostrando la supervivencia general de 35 meses y la libre de progresión de 15, 6 mesesContext: In ovarian cancer, cytoreductive surgery is the treatment of choice, followed by adjuvant chemotherapy; where, hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy controls residual disease, with the combination of physical (thermal) and chemical (chemotherapeutic) methods prior to the formation of adhesions. Objective: To determine the efficacy of hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in ovarian cancer in adult women. Methodology: Systematic review of primary studies published in PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science from 2013 to 2023, in Spanish and English. Results: A total of 133,393 articles were obtained, 108 were selected after the first reading, later considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 9 studies were used for the present review. The categories hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy, Cytoreductive Surgery, Survival, Endothelial Ovarian Cancer are described.
