OBJETIVO: determinar la relación entre la recesión gingival y fenotipo pencdontal. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica a través de bases científicas, donde se obtuvo un total de 41 referencias bibliográficas, se incluyeron artículos en inglés, español y portugués, se incluyó ensayos clínicos aleatorizados y no aleatorizados y revisiones. Se excluyeron casos clínicos.
