Siguiendo un adecuado protocolo y una minuciosa técnica quirúrgica. Actualmente se reporta un éxito de más del 90%. En el siguiente reporte de caso se presenta a un paciente de sexo masculino de 22 años de edad que acude a consulta odontológica por malestar dental en el primer molar inferior izquierdo, pieza 3.6. Pieza con diagnóstico de pérdida de la estructura dental supragingival y subgingival, no vital, con cracks en el esmalte. Como plan de tratamiento un trasplante dental. El enfoque es cuantitativo, descriptivo, ámbito de campo, técnica observacional y temporalidad longitudinal retrospectiva. El muestreo es no probabilístico por conveniencia. El objetivo de este reporte de caso es dar una alternativa terapéutica viable para devolver la función y estética al paciente, además reportar el éxito de la cirugía de trasplante dental en pacientes con dientes aptos para dicho trasplante, dar a conocer la salud periodontal evitando en un futuro rehabilitaciones de gran cantidad económica.A dental transplant is the surgical transposition of a portion of a tooth from one buccal anatomical site to another part of the alveolar portion of the same person. They are following an adequate protocol and a meticulous surgical technique. Currently, a success rate of over 90% is reported. The following case report presents a 22-year-old male patient who visited the dentist for dental consultation due to dental discomfort in the lower left first molar, tooth 3.6. The patient was diagnosed with non-vital loss of supra-gingival and sub-gingival tooth structure with enamel cracks. The treatment plan was a dental transplant. The approach is quantitative, descriptive, field scope, observational technique, and retrospective longitudinal temporality. Non-probability convenience sampling is used.
