The relationship between innovation and competitive advantage is fundamental in the business context. Thus, this research aims to evaluate the influence of innovation on competitive advantage in the mining sector of the Ponce Enriquez canton in the Azuay province, Ecuador. The methodology was quantitative, descriptive, and correlational. Thirty-six mining companies from the mentioned canton were involved in the research. The application of contingency charts and a multivariable linear regression model was proposed to analyze the results. This analysis shows that innovation has a positive and significant influence on the dependent variable of competitive advantage; moreover, the dimensions of innovation, knowledge management, and technology directly and significantly influence the competitive advantage variable. It is concluded that every effort to innovate constitutes progress toward strengthening competitiveness and serves as a means to achieve greater sustainability in an environment of constant market change.

Innovative production approaches and mass customization in the automotive industry encourage companies to stand out and capture customer attention. In this context, this scientific article aims to identify the key factors influencing the supply of motor vehicles in Ecuador. A descriptive and correlational quantitative methodology was used. The sample comprises 69 automobile dealers of the brands with the highest sales in the country, such as Chevrolet, Kia, Toyota, Chery, and Hyundai, from Quito, Guayaquil, and Cuenca. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire validated by academic experts and evaluated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, resulting in a reliability level of 0.911. The findings indicate that the factors determining the supply of motor vehicles in Ecuador are linked to environmental policy and innovation, which constitutes empirical evidence that makes it possible to conclude that they have a significant influence.

The research focused on the incidence of e-commerce on sales in commercial enterprises in Cuenca. A quantitative methodology with a descriptive, explanatory, non-experimental, and documentary approach was used, employing an inferential design. The sample comprised 68 companies selected through simple random sampling, and data collection was conducted through documentary analysis on each selected entity's official and private websites. The results obtained through multiple linear regression analysis indicate that the dimensions of e-commerce that impact sales in commercial enterprises are the website and social media. This empirical evidence concludes that they influence significantly; however, including purchase options does not reflect an impact in the simulated model.

This work is about a revolutionary technological tool of recent years: Artificial Intelligence. This method has increased extensively in the market and society, displacing human tasks and fostering the emergence of new innovative technologies capable of performing tasks traditionally done by people. It also aims to facilitate actions for users while, in many cases, reducing costs for companies. Similarly, the research focuses on AI’s impact on the administrative management of a company, in this case, an interprovincial transportation company in the El Oro Province. Having systems like chatbots that reduce inconveniences and save time for users and administrative staff is essential. It can become a differentiating factor that only a few transportation companies possess.
