Creating an urban corridor is based on connectivity, articulation with the environment, ecological value, and conservation. In this sense, this preliminary project aims to promote social interaction and cultural identity through urban articulators, connecting the two study neighborhoods of Cuenca: Baños and Narancay. To objectively demonstrate the study, a bibliographic research was conducted t on various references via extensive searches in diverse databases such as websites, libraries, public entities, and theses. It enabled the creation of different criteria for landscape-ecological intervention based on preliminary projects that adapt to our contexts, such as Urban Corridor Río in Cali, Colombia, and Cerro San Bernardo in Chile. Through the analysis and diagnosis of the study area, a proposal was implemented to facilitate the design and planning of the corridor, covering strategic points to recover the urban-rural connection via urban hinges that connect green areas, cycle paths, pocket parks, and public spaces, to materialize these spaces for functionality and interaction with users, addressing the qualities and needs for the benefit of the neighborhoods of Baños and Narancay.

This research study addresses issues related to downtown areas after being declared a World Cultural Heritage Site. Furthermore, a literature review is carried out on housing and its typologies, such as coliving, aiming to understand its development. The methodology implemented involves analyzing references that discuss the concept of coliving and university residence. The site analysis reflects the physical and social characteristics of the area. Surveys conducted with university students determined the architectural project. Finally, the analysis that was conducted resulted in the preliminary design of a coliving model for university students in the historic downtown area at the intersection of Calle Larga Street and Bajada del Padrón.

This research identifies and analyzes the impact of humidity caused by condensation in Cuenca, analyzing a case study in the parish of Baños. It is an essential study as it is part of a current issue. This study aims to determine alternative construction methods through energy simulations, with the data obtained from a house with a Datalogger, a thermal camera, and an Engineering Calculator. Thus, the strategies selected to overcome the risk of condensation in the dwelling are validated. Building and mechanical solutions are proposed to remove the condensation risk and improve its current states, such as thermal insulation and a vapor barrier for the wall, an air chamber system for windows, and installing extractor fans in wet areas, such as the kitchen and bathroom. Establishing the well-being of the inhabitants of the dwelling provides appropriate spaces and the corresponding regulations.

The degree work: Proposal for the Design of a Sensory Park in the Luis Alfonso Crespo de Cariamanga Citadel addresses the need to create inclusive recreational spaces for children and adolescents with special needs, due to the lack of sensory playgrounds in the city. The lack of attention to this population group highlights the importance of designing inclusive urban environments. A multicriteria study was conducted to identify potentialities and problems in the environment, emphasizing the relevance of planning spaces that improve the inhabitants' quality of life. The architectural proposal focuses on meeting recreational and leisure needs and promoting social interaction, a sense of belonging, and community cohesion. Additionally, it aims to integrate sensory elements to stimulate users' senses, promoting enriching experiences that contribute to individuals' cognitive, emotional, and physical development, regardless of their abilities.
