Resumen
The aim of this research study was to analyze the handling of postpartum hemorrhage triggered with red key, in order to determine the appropriate and suitable use in the event of this obstetric condition, and to avoid mortal complications for the mother and the newborn. According to the WHO, postpartum hemorrhage is defined as bleeding over 500 mi in cases of vaginal delivery, or bleeding over 1000 mi in cases of cesarean delivery in the first 24 hours, depending on the type and cause of the hemorrhage, being the main Cause uterine atony. For the development of this research, a descriptive method was used in relation to the proposed objectives, through an extensive bibliographical review on scientific journals, papers, essays, and documents related to the topic studied, written in Both Spanish and English and published within the last 5 years. Finally, a scientific discussion is held based 011the most relevant concepts of the reviewed documents and concluded that the most frequent cause of postpartum hemorrhage is uterine atony (70% Of the cases), and in a lower degree, alterations in the coagulation cascade; in these cases the use of intertonic medication and firing up the red key is necessary, a protocol that, if Applied together with an emergency and multidisciplinary treatment, is efficient in almost 9996 of the cases, with a minimum percentage remaining in situations where other Pathologies coexist.
