That's why that with the help of the artificial intelligence, we can predict dignostics based in torax x-rays. This research is based on the implementation of a web information system, which connects to an AI prediction server, which analyzes the presence or absence of COVID by sending digitized radiographs. This system is elavorated under the agile SCRUM framework and is designed in a friendly way so that any user can use it without major complications, also implements security provided by springboot to guarantee confydentiality, integrity and availability in data. It was achieved by designing an agent-based simulation model using the NetLogo tool. The model represents a simplified version of a real environment and its complex networks. In addition, it simulates the transmission of rumors over time based on the interaction among the agents, permitting the assessment of various scenarios through the model's configurable options. Different simulations concluded that in rumor transmission, most occur during the initial stages of propagation. Furthermore, it was observed that the propagation varies depending on the type of agent that initiates the rumor and the influence it has. Finally, two mitigation strategies based on the prevention and weakening of the influence of the rumor are proposed according to results from test simulations.Ítem Solo Metadatos Análisis de empleabilidad de los graduados de la carrera de ingeniería de sistemas de la universidad católica de cuenca matriz utilizando técnicas de minería de datos(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Altamirano Cordero, Dolores Victoria; Poma Japón, Diana Ximena; 0150743078The quality and effectiveness of education provided in universities make students to finish their academic periods and start their professional life as indicators of the progress and development of universities. For this reason, conducting an employability analysis of the graduates of the Systems Engineering career, periods 2016 to 2020, of the Universidad Católica de Cuenca, Ecuador. Based on the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP - DM) methodology under development and a sample of 145 graduates. Obtaining that the percentage of graduates who work mostly in the private sector and specifically in "Operational" positions is 50,4%, of which 7,59% are women. While the lowest percentage of relevance is found among management positions with 3,5% corresponding only to men. In addition, it states that, in spite of the opening of new careers and the impulses provided by higher education institutions, 19,3% of individuals prefer not to expose their reality. Indicating that the year with the highest rate of incorporations with 40,38%; both male (31,72%) and female (9,66%) is 2016 while the year that presented a decrease was 2018 with a total of 9,66% corresponding to ,28% of males and 1,38% of females.Ítem Solo Metadatos Software para gestión de historias clínicas odontológicas(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Chillogallo Campoverde, Kevin Alfredo; Sánchez Encalada, Hugo Wilfrido; Ávila Correa, Blanca Lucia; 0107154270; 0106478365This present paper corresponds to the development of a Dental and Periodontal Medical Histories Management System designed to respond to the necessity of the Observatories Network of the UCACUE, with the gathered information to carry out research related to oral health trends and epidemiological analysis. The main objective of this research was the software creation to provide the dental clinics of the institution to improve their management. The study was based on an applied research methodology and it was implemented using the Scrum approach. The study results indicate that the developed software product accomplishes with the requirements of the key users who have positively evaluated the first version of the product in terms of use ease, response time, performance, efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness in activities related to dental clinics performed by university students and supervised by teachers. This software product is a potential tool to contribute significantly to informed decision-making regarding dental treatment and controls, as well as to improve the quality of care and patient perception. In addition, it will facilitate the researches conducted by the institution’s network of observatories, with the possibility of providing valuable information to public health institutions. This approach overcomes the limitations of traditional methods, providing greater accuracy and adaptability in real-world situations, the microservices architecture offers modularity and scalability, while cosine similarity analysis on facial representations optimizes data management, overall, this project provides an effective and versatile solution for facial recognition, with potential to impact a wide range of applications.Ítem Acceso Abierto Correlación espacial de índice de vegetación de diferencia normalizada (NDVI) entre plataformas satelitales y vehículos aéreos no tripulados (UAV), en los agroecosistemas de cuatro cuencas de los altos Andes del macizo del Cajas.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Leta Morocho, Pablo Vinicio; Quevedo Sacoto , Andrés Sebastián; 0107147274This research was conducted in four watersheds in the High Andes of the Cajas Massif in Azuay, Ecuador, a region known for its lagoons, wetlands, and rich biodiversity. The uniqueness of this environment makes it a critical area for vegetation cover analysis. The objective was to compare the Normalized Difference Vegetation Indices (NDVI) obtained from satellite imagery and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) on twelve routes within the study area. For this comparison, the bilinear resampling method was applied to adjust the spatial resolution of the images. Subsequently, Shannon entropy was used to evaluate the UAV and Sentinel-2 image data quality. The correlation between NDVI was analyzed using Spearman's method. The results indicate that UAV imagery provides more information on NDVI. A significant and positive correlation was observed using Spearman's method. However, negative correlations were also identified, which are attributed to the temporal variability of the vegetation during image capture. The thesis is organized into four chapters, including an introduction to the problem, a theoretical framework, methodology, presentation of results, and recommendations.Ítem Solo Metadatos Mediaverso: implementación del proceso de mediación en el metaverso(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Gordillo Chuchuca, Bryam Rolando; Quevedo Sacoto, Andrés Sebastián; 0105331425The purpose of this article is to present a virtual reality application and its current advantages, with the objective of helping law students to practice mediation processes, benefit from these virtual environments and at the same time motivate their study and learning with this tool. For the creation of modeling, scenarios, animations and 3D virtual graphics, tools and programs such as Blender, images in JPG format and Ready Player Me were used. For the user interactions (UI) we focused on the concept of Lean Canvas that allows to understand the problems of customers to find solutions using the Oculus device and its corresponding SDK. The application was tested with a sample population of students in the last cycle of the law program, who filled out a satisfaction and suggestions survey as feedback, and then proceeded with the correction of errors and configurations. The application obtained an eighty-five percent success rate according to the survey that revealed that they were satisfied with the experience due to the accessibility and ease of use of the application, as well as the development of scenarios similar to the real ones. Amaru is a non-profit conservation organization founded by the Ecuadorian Ministry of the Environment in 2002. The Amaru Bioparque Zoologico Cuenca has become a leading conservation institution in the region, recognized for its transparency, honesty, and results. For more than a decade, it has promoted the development of other similar institutions and has actively participated in the conservation of biodiversity. Amaru is guided by ethical, environmental, social and community principles, working for the well-being of human communities and the wildlife that it protects, with this it wants to promote environmental commitment and respect for nature. The main objective of the project is to raise awareness about the danger of extinction of frogs in the Biopark. The virtual reality system offers users an immersive experience in the Biopark ecosystems, allowing them to explore and understand the importance of preserving these natural environments. Through interaction with the system, users are faced with challenges and situations that represent the dangers that frogs face, such as habitat destruction and pollution. In Ecuador, virtual learning was not easy; many students, especially those from marginalized sectors, did not have access to online education. Due to the unexpected nature of the event, many educational institutions were forced to improvise to adapt to the situation, hastily implementing teaching methodologies without sufficient training and resources. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of the digital gap on the learning of high school students in the urban sector of Azogues canton, through business intelligence methods and tools that enable informed decision-making. A descriptive analysis of historical information related to academic performance before, during, and after the pandemic to identify the period in which the educational gap occurred. Using properly validated observation instruments, factors associated with learning deficiencies related to the lack of technological resources, inadequate implementation of teaching strategies, and emotional aspects of students were identified. The results demonstrate the impact of the pandemic on the quality of education while providing a reference point for aspects that should be considered in a virtual environment to promote student empowerment and the achievement of learning outcomes set. Under this context, the present work proposes to develop a virtual environment applied for children in the centre of the Diagnostic Unit, Psychopedagogical Research and Support for Inclusion (UDIPSAI) in order to optimise their educational experience, whose implementation is based on an agile framework using the Scrum methodology. The experimental design method and quantitative and qualitative observatory were also applied in the use of the software developed according to the requirements. For the analysis of the students' sample, evaluation techniques and instruments were used with rubrics using the Likert scale and the observation of the interaction with the use of the software product. Prior to the application of the instrument for data collection, a bibliographic review is made on information security considering ISO 27002, then the triad of information security is conceptualized, ISO 27001/27002 and Annex A domain 7. In this research a quantitative methodology was used to analyze the risk of information security in the hiring process. In addition, monitoring and communication with students in the enrollment process is essential to avoid inconveniences. Therefore, this research aims to develop an integral management system for the follow-up of pre-enrolled and enrolled students in a university career of the Academic Unit of Informatics, Computer Science, and Technological Innovation of the Catholic University of Cuenca. The methodology used includes requirements analysis, database design, prototype development, implementation, and evaluation of the system. As a result, the following modules were developed in the system: a general listing of records, a dashboard for the generation of statistical graphs, sending of mass messages via WhatsApp and emails, a listing of message records, and an interface for the management of careers, academic periods and users of the system. The objective of this paper is to analyze the cybersecurity standards that can be applicable to computer systems to protect health data in accordance with the current legal regulations on personal data protection in Ecuador. The research has a descriptive documentary approach, in it the analysis of cybersecurity standards and the Organic Law for the Protection of Personal Data was carried out to determine which ones can be applicable in the development of computer systems and comply with current legislation. The application runs on a personal computer and can be viewed in two ways: through the computer screen or the Oculus virtual reality device. The first step was to review the technological tools available to develop the application. The engine chosen for implementing the virtual physics laboratory was Unity 3D from the company Unity Technologies. Scripts were developed in C# language, using Microsoft Visual Studio integrated development environment to code the behavior of the objects subject to the physical laws of nature. Teaching methodologies and technological tools used for teaching-learning must take into account that there are groups of people with disabilities, such as visual impairment. The objective of this research is to implement a software prototype for the teaching and learning of braille to contribute to the education of the boy or girl with this condition. Thus, it is possible for the student to access varied information on the Internet and recreational and expression spaces such as games and blogs. For the development of this software prototype, the waterfall methodology was selected. The developed system is considered friendly by both students and teachers, and allowed an improvement in the memory ability and motor capacity of the students. However, the system is in its initial phase of development and functionalities will continue to be added that will fully address the contents of the Language and Literature subject. In Ecuador, the increase in the production of this waste and the lack of management puts the environment at risk. For this reason, this research work presents the design and proposal for a technological waste management process at the Catholic University of Cuenca. Based on an analysis of different technological areas of the university. Results obtained in the SPSS tool of the different questions analyzed are presented. The results show that several activities should be applied more frequently. Through the monitoring of good practices and standards, specified in the ISO 14001:2015 standard, the proposal to improve the efficiency and management of electronic waste is presented.Ítem Acceso Abierto Desarrollo de Metodología de Validación de APPS basada en el Modelo de Aceptación Tecnológica (TAM): Caso de estudio “BODYUC”.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Campoverde Calle, Mauricio Sebastián; Sañay Sañay , Segundo Isael; 0107291858In the current era, thousands of applications are being launched into technological markets every day and made available to large spectrums of people, triggering competition for their development. However, the importance of ensuring the successful adoption of these applications is often underestimated. This has sparked curiosity in understanding the reasons that affect the acceptance of apps. Therefore, this study focused on analyzing the variables that influence the adoption of various applications by creating a new Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to evaluate its relationship with the acceptance of the BodyUC mobile application, developed in the XR-LAB laboratory of the CIITT at UCACUE. Data collection was carried out through a hybrid or mixed approach using a questionnaire validated by experts, administered to 8 dental students from the University. The results reveal that the methodology proposed by the research is entirely reliable for its application in validating other applications.
