A qualitative study was conducted using the PRISMA tool, with inclusion criteria focused on examining articles from scientific journals related to the topic, which were observed through documentary analysis. The main findings from this document review indicate that the causes of the psychological effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on nursing professionals are fear of contagion, death, and isolation. The main psychological effects identified are fatigue, post-traumatic and work-related stress, sadness, anger, and frustration. One of the findings highlights the relationship between fear of COVID-19 and the psychological distress it causes in nurses, showing that fear and exposure to COVID-19 are closely linked variables. The COVID-19 pandemic has had significant physical, emotional, and psychological consequences on nursing professionals, impacting their ability to react in high-risk infection situations. Therefore, the main recommendations include designing prevention strategies and targeted therapies for nursing personnel following this type of situation.Ítem Acceso Abierto Estratégias de prevención de la obesidad infantil en niños y adolescentes menores de 19 años.(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023-10-24) Naula Arcos, Nicole Stefanie; Zambrano Garcés, Rosa María; 0941906885Childhood and adolescent obesity have become a complex global issue, affecting all segments of society without distinction. It has become a significant risk factor for the development of chronic diseases. Therefore, this study aims to develop a strategy for preventing childhood obesity in children and adolescents under 19 years of age, determine the factors causing it, and identify the relationship between dietary habits and physical activity about obesity. The methodology involved a review of existing literature in various digital repositories such as Scopus, Elsevier, SciELO, Killkana, dSPACE, and Medigraphic, both in Spanish and English. The results showed that initiatives promoting healthy eating and physical activity evidenced a meaningful effect on reducing obesity. Identified factors contributing to this problem include inadequate dietary habits, a sedentary lifestyle, excessive use of technological devices, low socioeconomic status, family history of obesity, lack of physical activity, urban residence, and a combination of breastfeeding with formula milk. These factors do not act in isolation but often intersect, exacerbating the problem further. In conclusion, it is essential to adapt strategies to the needs of everyone, addressing factors such as physical activity level, dietary preferences, and overall health. This study aimed to establish the role of the Nursing Unit in managing patients with cardiac ischemia in Ecuador through a documentary review using the PRISMA method. Information was collected from recognized data sources, including Medline, Redalyc, Google Scholar, SciELO, and Institutional Repositories, resulting in a total of 43 studies published in the last five years. After undergoing a review for compliance with specific criteria, only ten publications met the requirements and were included in the final research process. The findings indicated that the nursing team responsible for the care of cardiac patients should have the necessary training, knowledge, and education to provide individualized, comprehensive, and high-quality care to patients. It involves constant monitoring, adherence to the therapeutic regimen, participation in rehabilitation, self-care education, high-quality discharge planning, nurse-patient relationships, multidisciplinary teamwork, effective communication, and other actions that lead to promoting a recovery process. In conclusion, the nursing unit plays a crucial role in the supervision of patients with cardiac ischemia, and it is recommended to maintain continuous education and strengthen competencies within the nursing team.
