Revisión Sistemática(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2024) Tenezaca Tenezaca, Alex Javier; Merchan Coronel, María Graciela; 0302549399The quality of nursing care reflects the responsibility that nursing professionals must have in order to be able to execute activities, providing a service whose objective is to satisfy the needs of the users. The objective of the present study was to provide information on nursing care quality indicators. The type of research was a systematic review. The key words used were: nursing, quality care and indicators. In addition to the Boolean operator AND, the databases used to extract the scientific articles included Web of Science, Scopus, and Pubmed. The inclusion criteria for the selection of studies were: studies from the year 2018, articles in the English and Spanish languages, systematic review articles, and descriptive, correlational, and applicative field studies. The article selection process was reflected in the flow chart belonging to the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses). The result was 46 relevant studies after an exhaustive review where 34 were analyzed, concluding that quality in nursing care is vital for effective and safe care, evaluating efficacy and efficiency through key indicators and interventions, which goes beyond the clinical, including patient experience and environmental safety, being essential staff training, evidence-based protocols and innovative technologies are essential for patient-centered care and continuous improvement in nursing, ensuring quality and patient satisfaction.
