Objective: To design a business model by applying the methodology of scientific research for the popular and solidarity economy sector, applied in the Javier Loyola parish. Methodology: Descriptive - cross-sectional and quantitative study in the Azogues canton, among its inhabitants, by means of a sociodemographic survey to determine the preferences on the tourist activity, the offer that is made and the projection of community tourism in the Azogues canton. Results: Community tourism is a good option for the residents of the Azogues canton who are willing to take a walk or tour through the Javier Loyola parish in order to know the tourism potential and the attractions it offers and that are unknown to most people When surveyed, the financial projection executed is favorable with a NPV of 16287 and an IRR of 31%, which makes the implementation of this company feasible. Conclusions: Community tourism is a great economic and social option for those who intend to exploit in a formal and controlled manner, with great benefits, the study shows the potential that exists in this market and the results are favorable.
