The demographic growth in the city causes various disturbances to the gorge that affect its functioning. The Milchichig Gorge, located north of Cuenca, is a green landscape axis in deterioration; thus, it reflects a bad image of the urban landscape, erosion of green areas, pollution zones, and danger. The present work defines urban architectural and landscape intervention strategies on the edges of the Milchichig Gorge, from España Avenue to Gonzáles Suárez Avenue. A bibliographic analysis was conducted; the current state of the gorge was determined through two methodologies. The first methodology —Riourbano Measurement, Spatial Representation and Design Strategies for the Banks of Urban Rivers— evaluates and spatially visualizes the current state and degree of affectation with indicators from two categories: connectivity and comfort. On the other hand, the methodology —Design of a Pilot Management Plan for the Shinshın Gorge in the Baños Parish, Cuenca— highlights relevant criteria for gorge management. The results were qualitative, falling into three categories: environmental parameters, landscaping urban conditions, and socio-ecological aspects. With the data collection, the problems and potentials on the edge of the gorge linked to the ecological structure are known, enhancing the quality of spaces for people's use and enriching the urban image.
