These materials can be fluid or conventional according to their chemical composition, which gives the materials diverse physical, mechanical, and aesthetic properties. Among the mechanical properties, we recognize flexural strength, which indicates the final stress necessary to cause dental deformation or fracture. The objective of this study was to conduct an investigation of the current literature to determine whether there is a difference in the flexural strength of high-load flowable resins compared to conventional composites. For this purpose, a literature review was completed in SciELO, PubMed, and Google Scholar using the keywords in Spanish: high- loaded flowable composites, conventional composites, flexural strength, and composite resins, and in English: nanocomposite resins and flowable resin composites. Forty articles were selected that met the inclusion criteria. It was concluded that the flexural strength in flowable high-load composites as in conventional composites is similar; however, data such as the manufacturer, type of resin, materials and percentage of filler, particle size, and light-curing technique modify this value, but they are still within the range established by the ISO 4049 standard.
