It is estimated that three-quarters of deaths occur in underdeveloped countries. Ischemic cardiomyopathies are the narrowing or occlusion of blood vessels by fatty plaques. Objective: To describe the prevalence of ischemic diseases in Latin America, associated factors, complications, therapeutic approach, and nursing diagnoses and interventions. Methodology: This research is a literature review by searching for accredited articles in the following scientific journals, such as ProQuest, PubMed, Medigraphic, SciELO, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Websites, published between 2019 and 2023, resulting in the selection of 51 highly relevant scientific articles. Results: Ischemic diseases have a prevalence of 93.5% for acute coronary syndrome without ST-segment elevation, 28.34% for acute myocardial infarction with ST-segment elevation, and 14.57% for acute myocardial infarction; in recent years, it has increased. This pathology is notable throughout Latin America, so it is essential to provide education to the population to reduce risk factors. Conclusion: The nursing care process is based on the NANDA, NOC, and NIC taxonomy for developing care plans based on the needs of each patient, offering quality and warmth care with scientific and human preparation. Therefore, a comfortable, quiet unit must be provided to reduce these stressors. Keywords: Cardiomyopathies, Myocardial Infarction, Prevalence, Nursing Process, Combined Therapy. (DeCS).
