- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoAnálisis del perfil de adolescentes con conductas de violencia filio-parental(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Angamarca Galán, Diana; Quilambaqui Crespo, Marcela; Martínez Suárez, Pedro; 0150755064; 0107424871Filio-parental violence (FPV) is defined in the literature as an act of dominance or control through children's physical, verbal, psychological, and economic aggression to parents and/or caregivers. This research aims to distinguish the association through FPV behaviors, sociodemographic variables, and hostile attribution involved in this act of violence. Materials and Methods: This study was part of a non-experimental research project with a quantitative approach in which the AD HOC, CPV-Q, SIP, and ESCON tests were used to identify the prevalence of FPV behaviors; it involved 678 participants aged 12 to 18 years, male and female, from an Ecuadorian population and various continents. However, the final sample comprised 530 participants, with 318 females and 212 males. Results: It was observed that there is a prevalence of Psychological Violence and Control/Dominance towards the mother and the father, with the mother exhibiting a higher index of FPV compared to the father. Reactive reasons were more directed to the father, while instrumental reasons prevailed to the mother. Conclusion: It was possible to identify that adolescents present Filio-Parental Violence behaviors, with adolescent girls showing a higher prevalence of engaging in violence. Similarly, the most predominant types of violence were psychological violence and control dominance, and it was also determined that adolescents manipulate their behaviors to obtain a secondary benefit.
