- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoLineamientos de intervención para el paisaje urbano del corredor patrimonial de Charasol - Azogues -. Ecuador(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Vivar Inga, Jessica Paola; Sacoto Molina, Diana Monserrath; 0302716279; ., .Given the continuous development of the city of Azogues, a series of changes have been caused that affect the abandonment of public areas, caused by the deplorable planning of the city, this influences such spaces to function incorrectly and consequently cause the poor image city urban. As a result of this problem, the purpose of this work is to establish guidelines that allow an intervention that helps preserve and maintain the urban landscape of the Charasol heritage corridor, being one of the most abandoned public spaces in the city. For the correct development of the work, we started from the theoretical review on urban landscape, heritage axes, among other aspects, the current state of the sector was analyzed, through field work, where the landscape components were taken into consideration, such as: spatial , functional and contextual. The evaluation was carried out through geographical, photographic and video mapping, obtaining the information that allowed the correct characterization, assessment and SWOT analysis of the study area to be carried out, with which the problem and objective trees could be elaborated, which are fundamental for the proposal of strategic guidelines and the consequent solution of the problem. The proposed guidelines are: intervention in streams, in order to maintain and provide security to the space; provision and regeneration of vegetation on sidewalks; eradicate visual pollution; act in relation to neighborhood steps; rehabilitation in the continuity of the corridor; regulation in the heterogeneity and care of heritage assets in the urban area.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoPropuesta de diseño para intersecciones peatonales, caso de estudio: área de primer orden de la ciudad de Azogues(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Medina Vintimilla, Gerardo Sebastián; Sacoto Molina, Diana Monserrath; 0302716386; ., .Urban intersections are the nodes of influx of pedestrian and vehicular traffic, therefore, spaces prone to accidents; in this way, a strict design handled with caution and rigor is essential. The purpose of the research was to demonstrate that, by complying with the different INEN standards and guidelines proposed by the universal accessibility manuals, safe and comfortable intersectíons can be obtained for those who transit it. The First Order Area of the city of Azogues was taken as a case study, where 67 intersections were registered. To evaluate each one, it was necessary to make an observation sheet that contains ali the indicators studied in the beginning. By gathering information, a classification of the intersections according to their typology was carried out, in order to propose a design for each type. In sum, it was shown that 30% of intersections approached an optima! result, 45% were registered as regular and 25% in poor condition. Tn conclusión, the most common problems encountered were: poorly executed ramps, lack of signage, extensive crossings, etc. Consequently, the proposals use the following criteria: provide generous waiting areas, reduce crossing lengths, incorporate vertical and horizontal signage, eliminate the saturation of urban elements and barriers, incorporate ramps with correct dimensions, take into account pedestrian sígnalíng. In this way, intersections are obtained whose characteristics respond to the benefit ofthe pedestrian.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoSistema esquemático de espacios públicos para la zona Z2 de la ciudad de Azogues(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2021) Tenecota Ávila, Diego Germán; Sacoto Molina, Diana Monserrath; 0302156963; ., .The constant growth of the cities as well as the deficient urban planning, cause the public areas are to be insufficient to satisfy the inhabitants' needs. In view of this reality, public space systems . represent an alternative to face this problem. According to the Plan for Good Living and Territorial Planning of the Azogues canton, the 22 zone has 44 public areas, with a connection that is not identified. Thus, developing an interconnected network will allow linking different urban environments, reducing their abandonment and underutilization. Consequently, this work aims to propose a system of public spaces in the 22 zone, for which the study sector is analyzed, applying two methodologies: the observation of urban components (natural, artificial, cultural, and normative), as well as, the elements of the city image proposed by Kevin Lynch (paths, edges, neighborhoods, nodes, and landmarks). The results obtained are complemented with a SWOT diagnosis to establish connection criteria to structure the proposal. In conclusion, the proposed network includes road axes with alternative transportation lanes and pedestrian paths that link public spaces, facilities, heritage, relevant points (landmarks and nodes ), and the natural environment (banks of bodies of water). lnterconnection systems are also proposed at the neighborhood level, which is articulated to the general network. Finally, a system of public spaces is obtained that will contribute to improving the urban structure, the image of the city, and the quality of life of the residents.
