Thus, this research will focus on the analysis of both the contents and results of the "Give a Digital Hand" campaign as an institutional digital communication strategy based on a public-private alliance to raise funds for the benefit of low income children, who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the lack of educational support from the Ministry of Economics and Social Inclusion (MIES, in Spanish). The objective of the campaign was to fill the institutional gap and provide the required support with the delivery of Tablet and data plans to 2000 families in Ecuador. For this research, the methods of observation, semi-structured, and in-depth interviews with the directors of the campaign and allied institutions, as well as expert consultants in the field of digital and institutional communication were used.
- ÍtemSolo MetadatosAnálisis de las noticias falsas en la segunda vuelta electoral para la presidencia del Ecuador 2021(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2022) Madero Mafla, Evelyn Patricia; Cordero, Edgar; 010597883This article analyzes the false or falsified news disseminated during the second electoral round for the presidency of Ecuador 2021, within the framework of digital communication and its expression in social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter. The methodology used in this research is of a qualitative and quantitative nature typical of Virtual Ethnography. It is based on observation by monitoring the social networks selected for this study in the period between February 7 and April 11, 2021. In this period, false news or so-called "fake news" was identified, disseminated with the sole purpose of harming the adversary, as well as showing the risk of social networks when they are not used ethically. The analysts consulted warn of the risk that audiences run by not being able to identify what is real from what is false and the consequences that this generates in public opinion. Therefore, the importance of digital education of audiences, verification and contrasting of information on the part of journalists and social media is reiterated, and especially the application of ethical codes by communicators and the analysis of possible regulations on the contents that are broadcast on social networks by the State.

This scientific article is intended to contribute and propose information about Online University Radios in Cuenca by collecting information and the observation method, interviews with experts of university radio, and directors of the four online university radios. Digital platforms in the current era have become a tool for academic, technical, and professional preparation of students in communication careers; however, in some institutions, programming, pre-professional practices, and technical equipment are not the same due to low budget and poor plan structure for students to carry out activities learned in the classroom. For future communication professionals, it is important to analyze how internships contribute to the student’s professional training.

Due to user demand, social networks are booming as a new showcase for trade through photographs, videos, stories that are part of digital business. The results of this research show that e commerce through social networks facilitates a digital approach between supplier and consumer for the sale and purchase of products online. It allows knowing techniques and strategies for entrepreneurs to be successful. It describes the appropriate tips for the use and management of a commercial account on Instagram. The present work was supported, among other research techniques, by observation, bibliographic documents, surveys to entrepreneurs in exhibition centers, interviews with experts and specialists, within the framework of virtual ethnography with emphasis on qualitative and quantitative.
