A quasi-experimental design was used. Thirty people participated in the experimental group, 16 males and 14 females between the ages of7 and 21; 9 were the control group, 5 males and 4 females between 13 and 20 years old. The instruments used were the Behavioral Regulation in Sport Questionnaire (BRSQ) and the Intrinsic Satisfaction in Sport Questionnaire (ISS), both in their Spanish adapted version. The questionnaires were applied in two periods (pre-test and post test) with a period of three months in between each of them. The SPSS program was used for the descriptive and reliable statistical analyses. The results in the experimental group showed an increase in the dimensions related to motivation and sport satisfaction, favoring mainly intrinsic motivation. In the control group, the changes were not determinant in terms of motivation and satisfaction levels. In conclusion, there were positive changes in sport motivation and satisfaction when federated athletes implemented the ludic-technical model.
