However, specific exercises essential to this sport are often not incorporated, leading several studies to highlight a deficiency in the development of reaction speed in individuals of these ages. Therefore, this study aims to conduct a literature review on reaction speed in soccer players by investigating methods that optimize performance in game situations. This work follows a non-experimental design. All the scientific articles, theses, and selected projects related to reaction speed in soccer published in the last ten years were reviewed objectively and systematically. The search included seven theses and three scientific articles, applying different filters that identify the most important texts. Given that the results found on reaction speed in athletes are applicable in various practice settings, most studies analyzed in the context of soccer conclude that the level of implementation of tactics, exercises, and other activities related to reaction speed is high. Everything can be adapted to new and experienced soccer players, and it will be feasible if different teaching methodologies are used. Keywords: soccer, speed, reaction speed.

This research has a cross-sectional design, and its methodology is based on a quantitative approach supported by the descriptive method with an exploratory scope. In this sense, the test elaborated by Facundo Sanchez called "Passing accuracy" was applied to a group of 27 children aged 8 to 9, which permitted determining the accuracy indexes in the existing hall pass in children. Likewise, within the framework of this research, a bibliographic review was conducted to identify the different methodologies used in teaching the passing technique and the importance of this technical foundation. The results identified key elements about the current state of precision indices and the deficiencies in the methodologies used for teaching passing techniques in youth soccer. Ultimately, it is concluded that children show greater precision in the right leg, which indicates the need to implement methodologies that prioritize the development of technical skills with both legs. It is essential to promote integral teaching in children to perform fluently and precisely in both legs, thus improving their performance and technical quality on the playing field.
- ÍtemAcceso AbiertoNivel de actividad física e índice de masa corporal en escolares de 8-12 años(Universidad Católica de Cuenca., 2023) Peñafiel Sánchez, Emanuel Ignacio; Guillen Campoverde, Leonardo; 0350197844; ., .Low physical activity prevails, especially in children and adolescents who currently prefer to spend their free time in activities that are not beneficial for their health, thus harming their health and increasing sedentary lifestyles. This research aimed to analyze the physical activity level and Body Mass Index (BMI) in school children aged 8-12 years and, simultaneously, to encourage a constant practice of physical activities. The study had a non-experimental design, with a descriptive and cross-sectional scope and a quantitative approach. The sample comprised 42 male and female schoolchildren aged 8-12 from the 16 de Abril Educational Unit. The instrument used was the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-C) for children to measure physical activity levels in the last seven days and weight and height to determine BMI. The results showed a low physical activity level among schoolchildren aged 8-12 from the 16 de Abril Educational Unit, and more than 50% of them were overweight or obese. It is concluded that physical activities and BMI are closely related since recreational physical activities and sports contribute significantly to maintaining appropriate and normal BMI.
